We treat the App Store version and the Google Play version as the same product. Updates ship to both at the same time. The breathing animation, the hats, the gentle nudges, the home screen widget and the offline sessions work the same on iPhone and on Android. The one platform extra is the Live Activity on iPhone, which counts down to your next breathing break on the Lock Screen. No second-class platform. If your phone is your phone, that's the right phone to install Brain Froggy on.
On the App Store (iOS and iPadOS)
The iOS build runs on iPhone and iPad. It doesn't ask for HealthKit. It doesn't read your motion sensors. It doesn't register a watch complication. Reminders are notifications scheduled on your device, and the optional Live Activity is updated through Apple's push service. Subscriptions are handled by the App Store; cancellation lives in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. The app ships in 23 languages.
On Google Play (phones and tablets)
The Android build runs on phones and tablets. It doesn't ask for contacts, location, or microphone permissions. It asks for the standard notification permission when you set up reminders, and Android may ask you to allow exact alarms so the breaks arrive on time. Subscriptions are handled by Google Play; cancellation lives in Play Store → Profile → Payments and subscriptions. It ships in the same 23 languages as the iOS app.
System requirements
Brain Froggy runs on iOS 15 or newer and on Android 7.0 or newer. The artwork is vector-based, so the install stays small. Sessions, hats, and affirmations work offline; internet is only needed for the install itself, for store-side billing, and for the automatic backup. Battery impact is small: the app does nothing in the background between reminders.
Common install questions
Do I need an account? No. Open the app, finish onboarding, run a session. There's no sign-up or login, and your first 7 days are free. Will it work without internet? Yes. Sessions, hats, affirmations, and reminder scheduling run offline. Does it auto-update? Yes, through your store, on the same schedule as your other apps. Can I share a subscription between iOS and Android? Not yet. Apple and Google handle billing separately, so an App Store receipt does not unlock the Play Store side and vice versa. Cross-store entitlement is on our list. It's not in this release.
